Mistakes of Ferizi

The mistakes he did or the way he tried to hack the information of U.S military members describes the careless character of Ferizi. He can be described as the most Careless hacker of all time because of the following reasons.

First mistake he did by not hiding his real name, he used his real name on the Twitter account. Moreover, he used open tweets to communicate with ISIS members, he could have used direct messages instead of the open tweets. According to the reports he used the twitter username (@Th3Dir3ctorY) to communicate with ISIS member Tariq Hamayun. And the biggest mistake ‘ He did not try to hide his IP address.’

Also he used the account name KHS for logging in into the U.S. Company’s server. It was not a big task for FBI to guess the KHS is the abbreviation for his hacking group “Kosova Hackers Security.”

According to the reports Ferizi was not a Malaysian, he was living in Malaysia on a student Visa and he was studying in the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology in Cyberjaya, Malaysia.

John P Carlin, Assistant Attorney General for National Security said “This case is a first of its kind and with these charges, we seek to hold Ferizi accountable for his theft of this information and his role in (ISIS) targeting of U.S. government employees.” Ferizi could face 35 years in prison if convicted by U.S.
