It has an attractive look with a compact design and a brilliant 4K display. A portable and attractive design and above average performance are spoiled by short battery life. Toshiba is testing the limits of pixels which can be cramped into a notebook with the satellite radius 12, a 4K touch screen. This display, consists of highly mobile photographs and video editing, is far more colorful than compared to any other display of this size.

DESIGN

Toshiba satellite radius 12 can comfortably fit into a briefcase, and will raise your standard in front of those around you when you will show-off brushed and dark metal finish.

The screen can rotate at 360 degrees, screen of 12 inch will also let you tent and tablet modes. The hinges are much similar than Lenovo yoga 13 or the Microsoft surface book

Radius 12 is heavier than the Dell XPS 13. The 11.8 x 8.2 x 0.61-inch Toshiba satellite Radius 12 is larger than the 12-inch MacBook 11 x 7.7 x 0.14-0.52 inches.

 DISPLAY

Best ever seen laptop of 4K screen on the radius 12. Not just the display is sharper than others but the capability of producing up to 100% of the adobe RGB gamut, is far higher than other typical laptops.

It also gets top marks for color accuracy. Average brightness is 338 nits as measured by light meter.

AUDIO

The speakers are provided in downward-facing. The sound is good but not great. The sound got improved when flipped it from laptop to tablet mode.

KEYBOARD

For a thin notebook, a pretty good job is done by Toshiba that is by putting the keyboard that will maximize its space. F1 key is presented in a Cortana button; as you press it will open a Microsoft`s new voice assistant.

PORTS AND WEBCAM

On the left side of radius 12 it has a full-sized HDMI port, a USB 3.0 port and a USB 3.1 type C port.

The right side has one more USB 3.0 port, a slot of SD card, a power button, volume toggle and most interesting a Cortana button when you are using the radius 12 in tablet mode.

BATTERY LIFE

Obviously, the laptops with 4K display will considerably consume more power than those with lower-resolution panels. Toshiba says notebook should last up to 6 to 6.5 hours but the radius 12 lasted up to 5 hours and 17 minutes.
