The look of Envy Notebook is professional and aesthetically beat its price tag.The Envy’s screen is brushed aluminium and stiff.Base of this notebook is of plastic.For better typing position,the much lauded hinge has been created to provide the keyboard an extra boost at the back.Reduction of RSI and finger fatigue of a Desk-based user will instantly warm to this feature.User will feel numb knees due to the lipped edge digs into an user’s lap after some time.

Touchpad of HP laptops are less stable and more uncertain than others.It frustrate the user as except selecting the text for copying,it zoom in or zoom out the content.

For everyday use,its shutdown time and zipy boot is amazing.It manage well in the Cinemark OpenGL benchmarks.Not only does the faster processor help boost this, but the on-board graphics chip (Intel HD Graphics 520) also runs 1000MHz faster than the Intel Graphics 5500 solution on the XPS.

The screen is bright and viewable from all angles.At mid brightness levels white and lighter colours are somewhat dull but are not noticeable.It’s no Retina Display but it’s an above average screen .

Battery of Envy Notebook is very disappointing,even after lowering the brightness to the lowest level it work only 3 hours 30 minutes.
