Xiaomi, one of the most popular smartphone maker company of China launched it own processor named Surge S1. Smartphones, Mobile Apps, Laptops making are specialties of this company. Xiaomi designs ,develops and sells consumer electronics. This private owned Chinese electronic company is the world’s 4th largest smartphone maker company. According to Forbes the founder and CEO of Xiaomi Lie Jun is the China’s 23rd richest person.
In August 2011, Xiaomi release its first smartphone. Now, The Company launched its own processor named Surge S1. Surge S1 launched with features 64-bit, oct-core mobile processor, with max frequency of 2.2GHz. For Gaming graphics performance and 4K videos support Xiaomi include an integrated Mali T-860 MP4 GPU. Dual microphones voice reduction, HD calling (VoLTE), 14-bit dual ISP for increase image quality and a baseband that can be updated through OTAs.
On 28 March,2017 Xiaomi announced that the company’s first SoC. The Surge S1 has built and ready to use. Company CEO and founder said that announcement of Surge S1 is the big achievement for Xiaomi. Surge S1 processor is the Pinecone research for the company.
Apple, Samsung and Huawei are the company who had their own processor. Now, Xiaomi also join Apple, Samsung and Huawei. These four smartphone making company knows that how to maintain better control over software and hardware together.
The comapany also announced the first Xiaomi smartphone to use this chipset. At 0.27 inches(7.09) thick Mi 5c is the first smartphone of Xiaomi to use this chipset. Only 135 grams smartphone with 1.25μm ultra light sensitive 12-megapixel camera is light or comfortable to use. Price of this device is $218 or RMB 1,499 but this device going to available only in China.
