Till few months ago, the word “alphabet” just reminded us of primary class but now Google has transformed the whole imagination See here full news. The Alphabet Inc. Company which started on August 10, 2015 has many units some of which are: Calico, Fiber, Nest Labs, and Google X.

As announced by Google on 16 January 2014, Google was embarking on a project to make smart contact lenses which would measure the glucose levels. From all of the units of Google, health-focused unit has taken the responsibilities for improving the life. The health focused unit has now proven its existence.

Improving the life with Google smart lenses

Coming to the Google smart lenses it has a wireless chip and sensor which would monitor glucose level. Bothered how it will measure glucose, the manufacturers have kept it simple the lens has a tiny pinhole which would allow for tear fluid to flow into the miniaturized sensor which would measure blood sugar levels.

The main challenge is the new plan which includes adding LED lights over the lens so it could warn the user about the sugar levels limit if it exceeds or becomes low and this kind of LED contains arsenic which is a toxic metal. If any how this arsenic comes in contact with the eyes it could completely damage the eyes. All the electronics material would lie outside of the pupil as well as iris so it would do not damage the eyes. Till now the performance of the lenses over windy environment and teary eyes had not been checked practically.

The Google co-founder and Alphabet President Sergey Brin announced the project of contact lenses will be graduating from the Google X lab with the tag along Life Sciences team, Andy Conrad as CEO. “They’ll continue to work with other life sciences companies to move new technologies from early stages R&D to clinical testing – and, hopefully – transform the way we detect, prevent, and manage diseases,” quoted Brin.

Research has proven that the contact lens method is less painful and time consuming for diabetics than the traditional finger pricking. So, plan to wear the all new Google smart lenses. Happy lensing J.
