Meizu announced it new flagship phone MX5 in its event in China, the MX5 is successor to the MX4 which is already released.

MX5 Processor

Meizu MX5  runs on new MediaTek Helio X10 MT6795 Octa-Core SoC clocked at 2.2GHz with PowerVR G6200 GPU @700Mhz. MediaTeK Mt6597 having four high-performance Cortex A17 and four energy-efficient Cortex A7 processor. The MX5 comes with a powerful 3GB dual-channel LPDDR3-1600Mhz RAM.

MX5 Display and OS

Meizu MX5 has adopted Samsung’s AMOLED screen in place of traditional LCD display technology.

Meizu MX5 smartphone running on latest flavor of Android 5 with Meizu FlymeOS 4.5 ,coming with the display of 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display gives 1920 x 1152 pixels resolution having 401ppi pixel density protected with corning Gorilla Glass 3.

MX5 display has diamond-structure PenTile subpixel arrangement so effective resolution less than the MX4 where MX5 has larger screen than MX4.

But MX5 has 40% less power consumption than MX4 screen.The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.

MX5 is 6mm taller than MX4, although 0.5mm width goes down and MX5 also thinner than MX4 which is 7.6 instead of 8.9mm.

Meizu MX5 has 20.7-megapixel Sony Premium IMX 220 Laser Auto Focus rear camera (6p lens & Aperture f/2.2) and 5-megapixel Sony IMX 208 HD Front-Facing Camera (Aperture f/2.0 with Blue glass filter).This smartphone is 7.6mm thick and its weight is 149 gram. It supports huge variety of sensors like Gyroscope sensor, compass, Accelerometer, proximity.
