Apple vs FBI case : The co-founder of Microsoft- Bill Gates commented on the battle going between Apple and the FBI. Reason being breaking into an iphone belonging to San Bernardino, California, attackers.

According to Bill Gates, “it’s a good debate to be having.”



Apple vs FBI case: Cook’s open letter

Apple said that the order should create a “backdoor” to any of the iphone. ”Government asked Apple to hack their own users and to undermine decades of security advancements that will protect our customers which will include tens of American citizens from cyber criminals and worldly hackers.” Cook wrote in open letter.

Apple have been suffering and battling it out since the judge gave orders to the tech company to create a piece of specialized software which will unlock the iphone 5c of San Bernardino shooter, Syed Farook. Syed Farook and Tashfeen Farook, his wife killed 14 people and injured more than 22 in the December 2.

FBI director Jim Comey called for people on Sunday to “stop saying that world is ending.” He also asked people to consider how U.S. should balance privacy concerns with safety on Sunday.

Gates was appeared to support the FBI’s view that the case is not going to automatically undermine encryption.

According to him,-

“It is no different than [the question of] should anybody ever have been able to tell the phone company to get information, should anybody be able to get at bank records.”

As per the Financial Times, Microsoft has not yet commented officially on this case.

He also said that– “Nobody’s talking about a back door. This is a specific case where the government is asking for access to information,” “They are not asking for some general thing, they are asking for a particular case.

Gates also spoke that this situation is not unlike and acceptable how authorities can obtain phone and bank records.

Last week, government ordered Apple to create a new version of iOS that would allow the authorities to go into Syed Rizwan Farook`s iphone. By the Cook it was said in an open letter that it is the fundamental violation of the privacy, security and trust of other customers what the government is asking to apple for.
